HashStringSHA Method

This is the method that you use to create an SHA-512 of a string

Description

Creates an SHA-512 hash of a given string.

Syntax

x = object.HashStringSHA

The syntax of the HashStringSHA method has these parts:

Part	Description
object	A Cryptocx v7 control.
x	A string that becomes the hash of the input string specified.

Remarks

This method uses a well published algorithm that has been used for many years. SHA-512 is a 512 bit hashing algorithm.

Returns

The SHA-512 hash of the input string
